Diving fitness examination according to GTÜM e.V.

GTÜM

Society for Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine

German professional society for diving medicine and hyperbaric medicine based in Murnau am Staffelsee. Founded in 1983, the nonprofit society establishes medical guidelines for diving medical treatments as well as for training professionals in hyperbaric medicine. I carry out these examinations in my practice and issue a certificate of fitness for diving if the results are positive.

Medical history

During the interview, pre-existing conditions and contraindications with regard to diving suitability are discussed in detail. Additionally, reasons for panic and disorientation are clarified.

Overall check

During examination, essentially all organ systems are examined.

Fitness test

In order to minimize risks and accidents while diving and to ensure optimal safety, you must be in good health, which is certified by your diving fitness certificate. This certificate, prepared by me after an examination, complies with the legal requirements for diving in force worldwide.

The suitability for diving

As soon as a person goes deeper into the water or into airy heights, special demands are placed on the body. The body reacts extremely to the changing pressure conditions. Therefore, it is important to take a closer look in the case of pre-existing conditions, mood disorders and when taking special medications.
